Kitchen in the Royal Pavillion at Brighton

In 1816, John Nash updated the Royal Pavillion at Brighton kitchen with state of the art steam features, while still containing a roasting hearth with long spits.

I have been working on an article about Steam Kitchens [for a previous picture: Steam Kitchen] and came across a terrific panoramic view of the kitchen at the link below. To slow the 360 view, place cursor arrow over a picture. Royal Pavillion UPDATE. No longer available.

The article which includes a section on the Royal Pavillion - “Early Steam Kitchens” in Petit Propos Culinaires PPC101. London: 2014. p15-33
